Monticello

No.28  Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello

Although I didn’t have my backpack, bear whistle or hiking boots, Miller and I did a 3.7 mile loop around the gardens and meadows of Monticello.  We toured the house too.  It was a beautiful day in Virginia and it was fun to be outside all day!

We also spent a couple of days with my Stepdad in North Carolina, helping him around the property, shooting guns, walking through the woods and hanging out with my mom’s flowers.  The irises in bloom were especially beautiful.  Mom transplanted them from my grandmoe’s house, to my house and then down to Kittrell.  It was so nice to see them!
