The Blackhead Range
Miller accompanied me on hike 50 on a beautiful and breezy day. The picture of the farm and mountains is of hike 49 with the Camel’s Hump, Thomas Cole, Black Dome and Black Head mountains from left to right. We did a nice 3.25 mile, 679ft. The falls were just a trickle, but beautiful. We really enjoyed walking up to Layman’s Monument and then along the ridge to Inspiration Point. The view of Kaaterskill High Peak was so pretty! Along the rock outcrops the wind was strong and had me nervous to be close to the edge, that was enough adventure for us! Great Hike.
