No.11 Musconetcong River Gorge Loop
Monday found me in Hunterdon County on a 5.29 mile hike with a 728ft. gain and clocking in around 2hr 20mins. Even though this is in the mid-range of elevation gain compared to some of my other hikes, the ascents were short, but steep. Definitely gave my heart and lungs a workout. And it was rocky and slick since it rained on Sunday. Needless to say, I had a blast! This loop shares the path with the Highlands Trail, which is a footpath that will extend 150 miles, when completed, from NJ through NY to CT. The Musconetcong River is really pretty, on my hike I had to cross a couple of fast moving brooks that lead to it. The crossings were fun! This is my 11th hike of my 52 Hike Challenge. If you’re interested in starting your own challenge, let’s talk! I would love some company.
@ The Shop
We were so busy with all of the Christmas orders we promised, that I didn’t have time to take pictures. All together we did 35 custom framing orders in time for the holidays. I did however, take some pictures of my family on Christmas Day, the one below of my Sister-in-law and nephews cracks me up! I hope you all had a wonderful time of celebration with friends and family! Merry Christmas to you.
